The 2018 Mayor’s Mulligan Golf Tournament announced today that $13,370 was raised during this year’s event in support of PRO Kids. This bringing the total raised in the past 14 years to over $193,000 for charitable organizations. A cheque was presented by Mayor Keith Hobbs to Laura Daniele, PRO Kids Coordinator, at City Hall this afternoon.
“Annual events like the Mulligan show again and again the generous spirit of giving in our city,” said Mayor Keith Hobbs. “These events are important in raising funds and spreading awareness of the important services like PRO Kids in our community. I am proud to have been a part of this event over the past eight years.”
PRO Kids, which stands for positive recreation opportunities for kids, places children in activities when their families cannot afford the fees. Community programs such as this help children and youth develop leadership, teamwork, self-esteem, and relationship building that are important in a child’s development.
The 14th Annual Mayor’s Mulligan Organizing Committee would like to thank the many event sponsors, donors, volunteers and players who came together in support of this event.
