The City of Thunder Bay is considering changes to its recreational burning permit in an effort to address concerns that have been raised from some residents. An online survey is available now until Oct. 18 on the city website for the public to share their views.
Administration will be reporting back to City Council on Nov. 15 with options and potential solutions for outdoor, backyard burning.

MECG Encourages Continued Caution in Community

Balmoral Street, between Hartland Street and Montgomery Street, will be closed to through traffic starting on Thursday, Sept. 30, for asphalt resurfacing work.
Work is expected to be completed by Friday, Oct. 8, but weather conditions and other factors may impact project timelines.
Motorists are asked to drive with caution in the area of the construction and detours.
