City Files Motions Against CN in Superior Court of Justice

February 24, 2015 - The City of Thunder Bay filed legal materials in the Superior Court of Justice against CN in conjunction with the James Street Swing Bridge on Monday, Feb. 23.

The City's documents request that the Court interpret the 1906 Agreement between the City of Thunder Bay and CN; provide a declaration that the Agreement is valid and binding, and that the Agreement requires that CN maintain the James Street Bridge for the use of vehicular and pedestrian traffic in perpetuity.

Council Rejects Final CN Offer - Seeking Validity of 1906 Agreement from Court

February 9, 2015 - City Council tonight rejected the most recent and final offer from CN regarding the James Street Swing Bridge and have directed the City Solicitor to now seek confirmation from the court of the validity of the 1906 agreement which requires CN to maintain the bridge in perpetuity.
