Free Canada Day Activities & Entertainment at Marina Park July 1 2023

The City of Thunder Bay is happy to announce the FREE activities and entertainment for Canada Day on the Waterfront, presented by Ontario Power Generation, on Saturday, July 1, at Prince Arthur's Landing, Marina Park.

Outdoor Pools & Beaches Opening June 30

All city outdoor swimming pools and supervised beaches will be open starting Friday, June 30, including Art Widnall Pool, Heath Park Pool, Boulevard Lake and Sandy Beach at Chippewa.

Beverly Street Dog Park Briefly Closed

The dog park on Beverly Street will be closed on Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23, to allow City crews to complete park enhancements.
Three new agility dog play pieces will be added to the park: an A-frame ramp, a triple dog hoop and a see-saw.
The work is expected to be completed on Friday, and the park reopened by the weekend.

Splash pads located at Prince Arthur’s Landing, Northwood Playfield and County Park are set to open on Thursday, June 15.
Splash pad operating hours are:
- Northwood Splash Pad – daily from 11 am to 8 pm
- County Park Splash Pad – daily 11 am to 8 pm
- Waterfront Splash Pad at Prince Arthur’s Landing - daily from 11:00 am to 8:30 pm
