Colonel Keene Drive to Close for Reconstruction

Starting Monday, May 29, Colonel Keene Drive (the road and parking area at Hillcrest Park) will be closed while reconstruction work takes place.
The work is expected to take four to five weeks, during which the road and parking lots will be closed to vehicles.
The project includes a full reconstruction of the road and parking lot areas with new curbing, sidewalks, granular materials and a new asphalt pavement surface throughout.
Park users are asked to use caution when near the construction area.

Section of Court Street Closed to Prepare for Construction

In preparation for the upcoming North Core Streetscape construction project, the section of Court Street between Lincoln Street and Park Avenue has been closed to allow work crews to safely begin to stage equipment in the area.
Businesses in the area remain open and alternative parking options are available nearby on Park Avenue, Red River Road and in the Waterfront Parkade on Court Street.
Drivers are asked to use caution in the area and obey all posted signage.

Central Avenue resurfacing to begin

Beginning at 7 pm tomorrow, May 25, Central Avenue between Balmoral Street and Memorial Avenue will be closed as asphalt resurfacing work begins.
The work will be completed in two phases. During Phase 1, eastbound traffic lanes will be closed and only westbound traffic will be permitted. In Phase 2, westbound traffic lanes will be closed and only eastbound traffic will be permitted.

Compost is available to all residents at no charge at the Solid Waste and Recycling Facility while quantities last, weather permitting, beginning today.
