The Public is invited to attend a Public Meeting, which City Council will be holding on:

Monday, August 26th, 2019, 6:30 p.m.

Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, City Hall

500 Donald Street East

to consider the planning application detailed in the following pages.

Purpose of Meeting:

  • For the applicant to present the proposal
  • For interested parties to express their opinion about the proposal
  • For community input to be used to evaluate the proposal

Purpose and Effect of Proposal

The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment would:

  • Permit a parking lot to connect directly to a lane without a driveway or parking aisle,
  • Add Apartment Dwelling as a permitted use on an interior lot at this site.
  • Establish the required frontage for an Apartment Dwelling at 15.2m,
  • Establish the required interior side yard for an Apartment Dwelling at 1.5m, and
  • Establish any other related development parameters.

The purpose and effect of this amendment is to amend the list of permitted uses in the "R2" – Residential Zone Two to permit the construction of a 4-unit apartment dwelling. The property is currently vacant.

The applicant’s site plan and a key map of the subject lands have been provided.

The Corporate Report and Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment that will be considered at the public meeting will be made available for viewing on Wednesday, August 21st, 2019 at the Planning Services Division, Development & Emergency Services Department, 2nd Floor – Victoriaville Civic Centre, 111 S. Syndicate Ave. between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and online here.
