10th Annual Mayor's Community Safety Awards
Two individuals and four community projects received recognition on Monday November 2, 2020, during the 10th Annual Mayor’s Community Safety Awards, for their outstanding work in the community. “My sincere congratulations to the recipients, and thank you for all you do in and for our community,” said Mayor Bill Mauro. “Through these awards, I’m proud to recognize and highlight your achievements.”

The 2020 awards fall into three categories:
Community Hero Award – For an outstanding individual effort that contributes to a safer community.
Young Leader Award – For outstanding contributions by a youth who demonstrates and encourages active participation in community safety. The youth is a leader in a project in their community.
Outstanding Community Project Award – For outstanding results in community safety or crime prevention through partnership and collaboration. Up to four projects may be awarded.
