CityStudio is a multi-partner community campus engagement initiative with a focus on projects that support the City’s Community Safety & Well-Being Plan.

How CityStudio Works

The CityStudio Thunder Bay model works through a project cycle where people come together to co-create projects and create solutions. The model works like this:

1. We convene municipal staff & CSWB Action Tables to brainstorm opportunities for collaboration 2. We match opportunities with courses to form partnerships between faculty and City staff 3. Students develop and design projects with support from CityStudio, faculty and City staff & CSWB Action Tables 4. Students launch projects in public. They develop and/or test their projects in the community 5. We share and celebrate student work with City staff and community partners
