CityStudio is a multi-partner community campus engagement initiative with a focus on projects that support the City’s Community Safety & Well-Being Plan's Priority Areas.
How CityStudio Works
The CityStudio Thunder Bay model works through a project cycle where people come together to co-create projects, and create solutions. The model works like this:
1. Bring municipal staff together to brainstorm opportunities for collaboration
2. Match opportunities with post-secondary courses and form partnerships between faculty, students and staff
3. Students develop projects with support from CityStudio, faculty and staff partners
4. Students develop and/or test their projects in the community and present their final results
5. Share all student work with staff partners and celebrate top projects with the community
