City Archives Welcomes Nominations for Women's History Month

May 10, 2017 - Mother's Day marks the opening of nominations to have a notable woman from our city's past featured on the Thunder Bay Archives online web exhibit for the upcoming Women's History Month.
In 2013, the City of Thunder Bay Archives launched an online exhibit recognize women who have contributed to the history and community of Thunder Bay. Annually, women that played significant roles are included and celebrated within the exhibit.

City Conducting Needs Assessment on Conservatory

May 10, 2017 - A drop-in Open House is taking place this evening at the Da Vinci Centre, for the public to learn more and provide input on the City's plans for the Centennial Botanical Conservatory.
The City is embarking on a plan to meet the future needs of the Conservatory, which was opened in 1967 by the Fort William Parks Board.

May 9, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay has issued a Statement of Claim with the courts today to recover amounts owed to it under its property insurance policy.
On May 28, 2012 the Atlantic Avenue Sewage Treatment Plant was severely damaged following extensive flooding due to an unprecedented and exceptional rain event.
