Weekend Snowmobile Accidents Keep Emergency Services Busy

February 20, 2018 - Superior North Emergency Medical Services (SNEMS) paramedics were kept busy over the weekend responding to multiple snowmobile accidents. At about 11:20 am on Saturday, Feb. 17, a 911 call was received for two people injured from a snowmobile accident south of Shabaqua Corners. Upon arrival, paramedics learned the two injured snowmobilers were located about 17 km in the bush with access only by snowmobile. February 14, 2018 - The 10th Annual Valentine's Day Memorial Walk is being held to bring together families of missing and murdered Indigenous women and to acknowledge their loss, support them in their grief and educate the public about this issue.

February 13, 2018 - Thunder Bay's Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) has won an Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) Award of Excellence for advertisements that were placed on Toronto Transit Commission vehicles in 2017.
