June 27, 2017 - Have you experienced or witnessed racism in Thunder Bay?

The City of Thunder Bay's Anti-Racism & Respect Advisory Committee's Incident Reporting Working Group, in partnership with Diversity Thunder Bay and Lakehead Social Planning 211, launched a tool today that will allow those who experience or witness racism to report it.

Item Limit for Garbage Changing Effective July 1

June 26, 2017 - Effective July 1, the item limit for garbage will be reduced to two items instead of three. An item consists of either one garbage bag or the contents of one can, as long as the items do not exceed the weight limit of 18kg/40lbs.

Age Friendly Thunder Bay Launches GIANTs Project

June 23, 2017 - The Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) has awarded the City of Thunder Bay a grant of $25,000 to empower seniors to share their knowledge, skills and experience with others and enable seniors to age in their homes confidently and comfortably.

Grants Create Opportunity for School Greening & Beautification

June 21, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay's Clean, Green and Beautiful Committee was pleased to present six secondary schools with grants up to a maximum of $1,000 through the 2016 - 2017 Green & Beautiful School Grant Program earlier this year.
