July 5, 2017 - The fourth annual Summer Company-Staples Youth Entrepreneurship Day took place this afternoon at Staples Thunder Bay. The tradeshow showcased this year's participants of Summer Company - Ontario's flagship youth entrepreneurship program which is administered through the Thunder Bay & District Entrepreneur Centre every summer. Section of Community Hall Road Closed

July 5, 2017 - A section of Community Hall Road will be closed on Thursday, July 6, to through traffic, due to cross-culvert repairs. Community Hall Road will be closed at 729 Community Hall Road and work is expected to be complete by end of day on Friday, July 7.
Traffic access from John Street Road heading north will only go up until 706 Community Hall Road. Traffic access from Government Road heading south, are asked to use Granite Road to Toms Road to access John Street Road.

Strong Budgetary Performance Raises City's Credit Rating

June 29, 2017 - Thunder Bay's strong budgetary performance, effective cost controls, low municipal debt burden, and excellent liquidity balances have led S&P Global Ratings (formerly Standard & Poor's) to raise the City`s credit rating from "˜AA-"˜ to "˜AA'.
