Section of Hilldale Road to Close Due to Water Line Upgrades

October 23, 2017 - A section of Hilldale Road, between Gemstone Drive and Fenwood Drive, will be closed to traffic due to water line upgrades.
Construction is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Oct. 24, and Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 8:30 am - 8 pm on both days, or until work is complete.
The road will be closed to through traffic; however, local traffic will be permitted. Motorists are asked to use extra caution and obey all posted signage when travelling near the construction area.

October 19, 2017 - The 63rd Annual Northwestern Ontario Water & Wastewater Conference (NWOWWC) kicked off today at the Victoria Inn in Thunder Bay. The conference welcomed water and wastewater professionals from across Northwestern Ontario.

Third Pedestrian Crossover Activated

October 17, 2017 - Thunder Bay's third Pedestrian Crossover has been activated today at the intersection of Simpson Street and Ogden Street.
Motorists and cyclists using Simpson Street must now stop when a pedestrian is waiting to cross and the crossover lights start flashing. Crossovers make it easy, safe and convenient for people to cross the street.

City Seeks Citizen Input for Transportation Master Plan

October 16, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay is finalizing the development of a new Transportation Master Plan and is looking to residents for feedback.
The Plan, being developed in cooperation with the consulting firm IBI Group Inc., will help guide the City's investment in transportation infrastructure to meet the needs of pedestrians, cyclists, transit riders and motorists for the next 20 plus years.

October 13, 2017 - The Community Economic Development Commission, various City partners, and the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) will be celebrating entrepreneurship during BDC Small Business WeekTM.
