Solid Waste & Recycling Services Holiday Update

December 19, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay's Solid Waste & Recycling Services would like to remind residents of the upcoming initiatives and updates that the holiday season brings.

The Solid Waste & Recycling Facility's operating hours change during the holiday season. The Facility is located on the west side of Mapleward Road at 5405 Mapleward Rd., between Oliver Road and John Street Road. The holiday hours are:

Dec. 19, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay is inviting musicians, dance groups, children's entertainers and other stage performance acts to apply to perform at the City's annual summer events series. 
Performance opportunities include over 15 event days, with two major single-day events and two event series. All events are free to the public and collectively draw thousands of attendees.

City Launches Web Exhibit for 125 Years of City Transit

December 18, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay has launched a new online historical exhibit to commemorate the 125th anniversary of public transit in Fort William, Port Arthur and Thunder Bay. It features information and images depicting the development of city transit as it grew with the region.

December 15, 2017 - To make the holiday brighter, Santa Claus is bringing greetings, gifts and a holiday feast to some Thunder Bay neighbourhoods. On Saturday, Dec. 16, Santa will be visiting the Bloucher/Piction/Windsor and Limbrick neighbourhoods.
