Marina Park Boater's Launch and Parking Lot Closed June 5

June 2, 2017 - The Marina Park Boater's launch and parking lot will be closed to the public on Monday, June 5. The closure is expected to be in effect from 7 am until 4 pm. Workers will be onsite installing top-coat asphalt on Marina Park Drive.

June 1, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay is launching the development a new Active Transportation Plan on June 3, at the Bike Summit. This Plan is a major component of the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) which commenced in Fall 2016, and is being led by the City's Engineering & Operations Division and the TMP consultant, IBI Group.

City Seeks Citizen Input for Transportation Master Plan

June 1, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay is continuing the development of a new Transportation Master Plan and is looking to residents for feedback.

The Plan, to be developed in cooperation with the consulting firm IBI Group Inc., will help guide the City's investment in transportation infrastructure to meet the needs of pedestrians, cyclists, transit riders and motorists for the next 20 plus years. June 1, 2017 - Thunder Bay will celebrate its rich mining heritage on Saturday, June 3, which has been declared Mining Day by Mayor Hobbs.

Mayor Hobbs made the declaration at a ceremony today, June 1, at Mariner's Hall at Prince Arthur's Landing. He was joined by representatives of the City of Thunder Bay, Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, and Northwestern Ontario Prospectors Association.

June 1, 2017 - Enzo Fabiano and John Gould of Union Gas will receive Fire Safety Awards from the Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council at a ceremony today in Toronto. The annual Fire Safety Awards recognize outstanding contributions to fire protection and prevention in Ontario.
