Boulevard Lake to Remain Open for Recreational Use

June 3, 2015 - Work scheduled for the Boulevard Lake Dam Rehabilitation project has been delayed, and the lake will not be drained this summer. The dam walkway will also remain open to the public, and the lake will be available for recreational use

The project is subject to the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change's Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process, which allows stakeholders to voice concerns with the project. Concerns from two residents have been raised, so work cannot start...

June 2, 2015 - The City of Thunder Bay is once again celebrating the individuals that continue to make its crossing guard program a success with the 10th annual Crossing Guard Appreciation Day on Friday, June 5.

Boulevard Lake Master Plan Scheduled for Completion in July

May 27, 2015 - The in-progress Boulevard Lake Area Improvement Plan has moved on to its next phase after a consultation period, stakeholder meetings and a final Open House held May 26.

May 27, 2015 - The City is reaching out to expanding contact centres around the world to locate in the City-owned state of the art, turn-key space in VictoriaVille Mall. Draft Corporate Strategic Plan Now Available for Public Review

May 26, 2015 - A draft of the 2015-2018 Corporate Strategic Plan is now available for citizens to review until June 4.

The plan will outline City Council's priorities and initiatives for the next four years and beyond. The City's Strategic Plan guides the actions of Council and Administration, and citizen input is critical in helping to shape this Plan.

Hard copies will also be available for review at City Hall and all four Public Library locations.
