Heroes Saving Lives Calendar Now Available

December 8, 2016 - The City's Animal Services Division in partnership with Superior North EMS and Superior Street Cars, have produced a fundraising calendar featuring EMS professionals with rescue animals.

All proceeds from the sale of the calendars go directly towards spaying and neutering thousands of animals in Thunder Bay.

Failure to Install Carbon Monoxide Alarm Earns Ticket

December 1, 2016 - A River Street apartment building owner has been charged for failing to install a carbon monoxide alarm as required by the Ontario Fire Code. The ticket carries a fine of $360.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a structural fire at the River Street property on October 29. The laundry room fire was quickly brought under control. A fire investigation by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue revealed there was no carbon monoxide alarm in the service room of the apartment building.

December 1, 2016 - Transit Services and Amalgamated Transit Union Local 966 are teaming up to spread goodwill in our community with the 22nd Annual Santa Bus Food Drive in support of the Thunder Bay Food Bank.

Skating at Prince Arthur's Landing Opens for the Season

December 1, 2016 - The waterfront skating rink at Prince Arthur's Landing officially opens today, Thursday, December 1, 2016. With the rink opening, the City is encouraging residents to come down to the waterfront and enjoy the many activities and facilities available to the public.
