Storm Impacts Operations at Chippewa Park

Due to yesterday’s storm, Chippewa Park is currently experiencing a power outage affecting the amusement rides and Pavilion. The rides are temporarily closed until power is restored and safety testing can be completed.
Synergy North is working to resolve the issue, though an estimated restoration time has not yet been provided.
The storm also caused damage to the canopy over the boat ride which will remain closed until repairs are completed.

Today, the City of Thunder Bay officially marked the start of construction on its new multi-purpose indoor turf facility.
