Section of Oliver Road to close Thursday night

A section of Oliver Road will close overnight Thursday to facilitate water main repairs.

Oliver Road will be closed between Winnipeg Street and Ontario Street beginning at 8pm on Thursday, August 1. The roadway is expected to reopen on the morning of Friday, August 2.

Through traffic on High Street and Ontario Street will be permitted to cross Oliver Road during the closure. Motorists are reminded to reduce their speed, watch for workers, and drive with extra care in construction zones.

A number of construction projects are expected to impact vehicular, cycling, and pedestrian travel in Thunder Bay throughout the month of August.
