October 22, 2025 – The City’s completed draft of the Smart Growth Action Plan (the Plan) was presented at City Council yesterday and will make its way back to Council in early December for approval. The Plan proposes a bold and united vision for Thunder Bay’s long-term prosperity.

The City of Thunder Bay has launched a new Neighbourhood Services Map, an online interactive tool that helps residents, visitors, and businesses easily find City services, facilities, and community points of interest.

Water bills will be issued as scheduled despite Canada Post strike

The City of Thunder Bay is reminding all Section 3 water billing customers, which includes the Westfort, East End, Parkdale, Arthur St, Victoria Ave and 25th Side Road areas, that water bills will still be issued the week of October 13, as scheduled, despite the ongoing Canada Post strike.
Customers are advised that bill due dates remain in effect, and payment is expected on or before the due date – November 14, 2025. Section 3 residents submitted meter readings in September.
