Summer in the Parks Concert Line-up Announced

July 2, 2015 – The Recreation & Culture Division has announced another fantastic lineup of live entertainment for the 2015 Summer in the Parks concert season.
Eight outdoor concerts are planned featuring new acts, as well as returning favourites, for this year’s Summer in the Parks series. Concerts take place at Marina Park – on the Main Stage under the band-shell – on Wednesday evenings from 6-9 pm, beginning July 8.

Voting Open for 2015 Movie Nights in the Park Family Series

June 30, 2015 – Thunder Bay’s Recreation and Culture Division is again seeking public input as they select the films that will screen during the 2015 Movie Nights in the Park Family Series.
The 2015 Family Series begins Thursday, Aug. 13, and the next four Fridays (August 21 and 28, and September 4 and 11).

Repairs to Boulevard Lake Trail to Begin This Week

June 29, 2015 – Work to restore the section of trail around Boulevard Lake where asphalt cracking appeared this spring will commence on Tuesday, June 30.
The section of trail is on the southwest side of the lake, near the intersection of Lyon Boulevard and Arundel Street. It was closed on May 26 after cracks began appearing in its surface.

Rosslyn Road Closure Extended Until June 30

June 29, 2015 – Rosslyn Road from Neebing Avenue to 20th Sideroad will remain closed until 8 pm on Tuesday, June 30, to allow crews to complete repairs to a water main.
Local traffic will have limited access to the closed section, up to the excavation site at 1250 Rosslyn Road, where the road will be closed to all through traffic.

Section of Edward Street to Close for Widening

June 29, 2015 – Edward Street from Arthur Street to Victoria Avenue will close to northbound traffic starting on Wednesday, July 1 to allow for road construction and widening.
The work is expected to take up to five weeks to complete. The section will remain open to southbound traffic to allow access to properties and businesses.
