December 4, 2015 - Thunder Bay Transit and Amalgamated Transit Union Local 966 are teaming up to spread goodwill in the community with the 21st Annual Santa Bus Food Drive in support of the Thunder Bay Food Bank.

Local Business Fined $12,000 for Building Permit Violation

December 3, 2015 – An Eira Street business has been fined a second time for not obtaining a building permit. The resulting fine was $12,000, in addition to an earlier offense for the same construction which was a $7,500 fine.

Property Owner Ticketed For Smoke Alarm Violation After Fire

December 2, 2015 - A Brant Street property owner has been ticketed for failing to install a smoke alarm where required. The ticket carries a fine of $360. 

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a structural fire at the residence on Nov.21.
