Harbour Expressway Repaving Scheduled for June 8

June 5, 2015 - Resurfacing of the Harbour Expressway between Highway 11/17 and Golf Links Road will begin on Monday, June 8, and last approximately four weeks.

Work on the Harbour Expressway will proceed in three stages:

  • Stage One - Begins Monday, traffic movements will be permitted in an easterly direction only (i.e., travelling from Highway 11/17 to Golf Links Road), with all westbound lanes closed. Expected to take two weeks to complete.

June 4, 2015 – Thunder Bay will celebrate its rich mining heritage on June 6, which has been declared Mining Day by Mayor Keith Hobbs.

Boulevard Lake to Remain Open for Recreational Use

June 3, 2015 - Work scheduled for the Boulevard Lake Dam Rehabilitation project has been delayed, and the lake will not be drained this summer. The dam walkway will also remain open to the public, and the lake will be available for recreational use
