Waste Collection Changes for Easter Week

March 26, 2015 - The upcoming Easter Long Weekend will result in changes to waste collection city-wide.
Garbage and recycling collection moves ahead one day during the week of March 30 for all residents. There is no collection on Good Friday or Easter Monday.
Residents are asked to check their waste collection schedule card, or visit www.thunderbay.ca/recycling for more information.

March 19, 2015 - Mayor Keith Hobbs and City Manager Tim Commisso met with the Hon. Michael Gravelle, Minister Northern Development and Mines, after reports stated the MPP was caught off guard following yesterday's briefing on the proposed Thunder Bay Event & Convention Centre project (TBECC). Reduced Load Restrictions Take Effect March 20

March 17, 2015 - Heavy load restrictions will come into effect for the City of Thunder Bay beginning at 8 am on Friday, March 20.
Heavy load restrictions are put into place annually to protect City roads from damage during the spring thaw. The restrictions apply to all streets within the City of Thunder Bay limits with the exception of the streets or portions of streets listed in the attachment below, which shall be exempt:
