Portion of Boulevard Lake Multi-Use Trail Closed

May 26, 2015 – A portion of the walking trail around Boulevard Lake is closed to the public effective May 26.

The section of trail is on the southwest side of the lake, near the intersection of Lyon Boulevard and Arundel Street. Cracks have developed in the trail’s asphalt surface. The trail was constructed last fall, and the consulting engineers who designed and oversaw the project are currently conducting an assessment.

Harbour Expressway Repaving Delayed Due to Weather

May 25, 2015 - The start of the resurfacing of the Harbour Expressway between Highway 11/17 and Golf Links Road has been delayed due to a forecast of rain and will now begin on Wednesday, May 27.

The work was initially scheduled to begin on May 25. No road closures will take place until Wednesday, after the forecasted storm has passed through the City.

Compost Available Starting May 25

May 20, 2015 - Compost will be available to all residents at no charge while quantities last, weather permitting, beginning on Monday, May 25.

The pick-up area is located just east of the old landfill entrance on John Street Road. Hours of operation at the compost pick-up area are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm.

Harbour Expressway Repaving Begins May 25

May 21, 2015 - Resurfacing of the Harbour Expressway between Highway 11/17 and Golf Links Road will begin on Monday, May 25 and last approximately four weeks.

Work on the Harbour Expressway will proceed in three stages. During stage one, which begins Monday, traffic movements will be permitted in an easterly direction only (i.e., travelling from Highway 11/17 to Golf Links Road), with all westbound lanes closed.
