Pacific Avenue Bridge to Close for Resurfacing

July 10, 2015 - The Pacific Avenue Bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic and pedestrians on Tuesday, July 14 and Wednesday, July 15, due to resurfacing.

There will be no access to the East End neighbourhood via Pacific Avenue during the work period. Motorists will be required to use the Main Street or Central Avenue bridges to access the area. Pedestrians can access the East End by using the tunnel located near the intersection of Simpson and Rowand streets.

Section of Golf Links Road to Close on July 14

July 10, 2015 - Golf Links Road from Crystal Street/Cascade Crescent South to Fairbank Crescent will close to vehicular through traffic on Tuesday, July 14, as part of the ongoing Golf Links Road expansion project.

The closure will allow the McIntyre River bridge to be reconfigured to accommodate four lanes of traffic. In addition, new steel pedestrian bridges will be built across the McIntyre River.

Proposed Transit Service Improvements

July 7, 2015 - The City of Thunder Bay is proposing changes to certain transit routes on the south side of the city to improve service, and is looking for the public's feedback.

There will be two public feedback opportunities at the following locations:

July 2, 2015 – The Recreation & Culture Division has announced another fantastic lineup of live entertainment for the 2015 Summer in the Parks concert season.
