Treasure Exchange Days Returns September 24 & 25

This City’s popular Treasure Exchange Days event returns this weekend, which is a great opportunity to exchange reusable household items, furniture, small appliances, toys, and more for free.

Residents who have good-condition items they wish to give away may leave them on the curb any time after 5 pm on Friday, Sept. 23, labelled “free.” Residents are then invited to tour their neighbourhoods on Sept. 24 and 25, to find treasures.

Repairs to Water Distribution System Closes Section of Frederica St.

The City of Thunder Bay is currently completing repairs to the city’s water distribution system on Frederica St. between James Street and Euclid Avenue resulting in a temporary road closure.

It is estimated the road will be reopened by 6pm tonight.

Ongoing operations may impact traffic flows and necessitate additional road closure in the next 48 hours as city staff continue to restore full water service to all addresses effected.

City Crossing Guards Urge Public to Slow Down Drive Safely

Twice a day in Thunder Bay, School Crossing Guards help over 1100 students get to and from school by ensuring safe crossing of busy city streets.
