Prince Arthur’s Landing Splash Pad temporarily closed

Early this morning, City crews were required to make emergency repairs to the water filter system at the splash pad at Prince Arthur’s Landing. The work has been completed, but the splash pad will remain closed until it is able to be fully refilled.

It is anticipated that the splash pad at Prince Arthur’s Landing will reopen by 6pm this evening.

Live on the Waterfront Concert Series Kicks off July 17th at Marina Park

The City of Thunder Bay’s Live on the Waterfront concert series, presented by Ontario Power Generation, begins this Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 6 pm at Marina Park. Admission to all concerts is free.

This series offers a unique summer experience, bringing the community together to enjoy a diverse line-up of musicians, showcasing both local and Canadian talent. Live on the Waterfront begins this Wednesday, July 17, 2024 with by Cold Lake Sun, The Sensational Hot Rods and Daniel Romano’s Outfit.

Community Clean-Up Trailer launched

The City’s Solid Waste & Recycling Services and Clean, Green and Beautiful Committee are pleased to announce the launch of the Community Clean-Up Trailer. Today City staff and members of the Committee, along with staff of Lakehead Region Conservation Authority, Thunder Bay Art Gallery and Generator Strategy Advertising used the Trailer to rid an area along the Neebing Floodway of litter.

The City of Thunder Bay invites everyone to Vickers Park on Tuesday, July 9 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for a day spent enjoying entertainment, delicious food and fun activities with friends, family, and your favourite stuffed animal at the annual Teddy Bears Picnic! This event is presented by Ontario Power Generation.

Churchill Pool parking lot temporarily closed

The parking lot at Churchill Pool will be temporarily closed starting on Tuesday, July 2 to accommodate sidewalk repairs.

The parking lot is expected to reopen by Saturday, July 6. The pool will remain open and available to the public during normal operating hours while the sidewalk work takes place.

On-street parking is available in the area of Churchill Pool. Motorists are reminded to respect all posted signage and applicable bylaws. The pool can also be accessed via Thunder Bay Transit.
