The City of Thunder Bay released a Call to Artists for a new award design for the 2025 Arts & Heritage Awards.

Final Spring Leaf & Yard Waste Curbside Collection coming

The second and final Spring Leaf & Yard waste curbside collection will take place between June 10 and June 20, on residents’ regular recycling day.

Free compost is now available to City residents

Free compost is now available at the Solid Waste and Recycling Facility, for all City residents - while quantities last, weather permitting.

Access to the compost pick-up area is located east of the old landfill entrance on John Street Road. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 5 pm, and Saturdays from 8:30 am - 4 pm.
