PRO Kids’ Training with a Pro: The Hockey Edition is back for its fourth year. On Aug. 14, from 6 – 8 pm, children and youth ages 5 – 13 have the chance to meet, exercise and train with their professional hockey idols.

The City of Thunder Bay is working to create a concept plan that will help guide the future development of Northwood Playfield, including the possible installation of a splash pad.
As part of the City of Thunder Bay’s strategy to provide splash pads across the city, the Parks & Open Spaces Section is now in the planning stages to implement its next splash pad. The 70th Anniversary of Chapples Golf Course will be celebrated this July with a commemorative event.
The City is looking for citizens to share their memories of the course through photographs. Photos from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s would be a welcome addition to upcoming 70 year celebration.

The waterfront splash pad at Prince Arthur’s Landing officially opens tomorrow, Saturday, June 15. With the splash pad opening, the City is encouraging residents to come down to the waterfront on those hot sunny days to cool off and enjoy the many events, activities and facilities available to the public during the summer months.
