Cannabis Retail Store – Public Notice Period (Until November 26, 2020) File# 1103075

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has opened a 15-day Public Notice Period for a cannabis store to be located at 320 ARUNDEL ST UNIT C. that has applied to the AGCO for a local license to operate the store.

Waste Collection Date Changes around Remembrance Day

The upcoming Remembrance Day holiday will result in waste and recycling collection in Area 1 and Area 2 to take place a day earlier during the week of Nov. 9. 

There is no collection on Remembrance Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11. The Landfill site on Mapleward Road is also closed on that day.

Leaf and Yard Waste Collection Begins October 27

The City of Thunder Bay’s curbside collection of organic leaf and yard waste will take place from Oct. 27 to Nov. 6 during residents’ regular recycling days. 

Homeowners must use paper bags for leaf and yard waste. Kraft paper bags are available at most hardware and grocery stores. Regular weight limits of 18 kg/40 lbs. per bag apply.
