Thunder Bay City Council has declared the third Saturday in June to be Neighbour Day each year. Thunder Bay’s first Neighbour Day is set for Saturday, June 20.

Free Compost Now Available to Residents

Compost is now available to all residents at no charge at the Solid Waste and Recycling Facility while quantities last, weather permitting.
Access to the compost pick-up area is located east of the old landfill entrance on John Street Road. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8 am – 5:30 pm, and Saturday from 8 am – 3:30 pm.
