The City’s Solid Waste & Recycling Facility and the Recycling Depots operating hours change during the holiday season. The holiday hours are as follows:

- Monday, Dec. 21 - 8am - 6:30pm
- Tuesday, Dec. 22 - 8am - 6:30pm

Garbage and recycling collection dates for all residents and businesses will change for the weeks of Dec. 21 and Dec. 28, as there is no collection on Friday, Dec. 25, 2020 or Friday, Jan. 1, 2021.

Protect Your Collector – Do Not Place Loose PPE Items in Garbage Cans

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, Thunder Bay residents are reminded to “Protect Your Collector” and not place loose items – especially used personal protective equipment (PPE) such as disposable masks and gloves –in trash cans.

Today, Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) launched a new website and a promotional video for Thunder Bay. Both will be used as an economic development tool for the City and have come at a time when economic development is needed most.
