Citizen Comment Invited on Program and Service Review Report

The public is invited to view Grant Thornton’s Phase Two Report of the City’s Programs and Services and share comments from now until July 31.

This summer's Live on the Waterfront, presented by Ontario Power Generation, will look different, but there will be no shortage of talent. The Thunder Bay & District Entrepreneur Centre (EC) is pleased to announce the successful entrepreneurs who will receive a $5000 grant through the second round of the 2020 Starter Company Plus program. Public Comment Invited on Chippewa Park Breakwater Removal Plan

A draft plan for removing the nearly 70-year-old wooden dock and breakwater on the east side of Chippewa Park beach, as well as erosion protection for the adjoining shoreline and maintaining fish habitat is now available for public review.
The plan has been prepared on behalf of the City of Thunder Bay and The Friends of Chippewa Park by JML Engineering, and was funded by the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Parks and Conservation.

Week of Canada Day Waste Collection Date Changes

The upcoming Canada Day holiday will result in changes to waste and recycling collection in Area 1 and Area 2.
There is no collection on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1. Garbage and recycling collection moves back one day earlier during the week of June 29th for residents in Area 1 and Area 2. Collection in Area 3 and Area 4 remains unchanged.
