The City of Thunder Bay is please to announce that we will be taking over the operations of the West Arthur Community Centre in September of 2020.

West Arthur Community Centre Administrative Advisory Committee

An invitation is extended to citizens of Thunder Bay to submit their name for appointment to serve on the West Arthur Community Centre Administrative Advisory Committee. The Recreation & Culture Division is seeking volunteers to fill one (1) vacancies on the Committee.

Please complete and submit this Application Form no later than Monday, November 30, 2020.

West Arthur Community Centre Room Rentals

 Arthur Hall

Capacity with Physical Distancing: 80 people (this will be reduce with the use of tables and chairs)

 

The Arthur Hall is perfect for

  • Family and friends to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, showers and retirements.
  • Teammates to gather for end of season wind-ups and awards nights.
  • Trainers and Supervisors to lead training sessions, workshops or meetings.
  • Instructors to lead fitness and recreational activities.

The Arthur Room also features a coat room and a serving area (formerly the bar service area). The service area has a sink and access to a large cooler for storing food and beverages in for your event. 

As an addition to your rental of the Arthur Hall, you can also request the use of our Sound System, microphone, projector and our kitchen . 

 
West Arthur Room

  • smaller groups meetings
  • crafting groups
  • Fitness Classes (Yoga / Pilates)
Kitchen

The kitchen has commercial equipement and therefore the calculations for room capacity are pending. Please check back for updates or call 631-6135. 
Craft Room 
Capacity with Physical Distancing: 7 people (this will be reduced with the use of tables and chairs)

 

The Craft Room is perfect 2-3 people 

  • to gather for a meeting
  • to enjoy some company while crafting
