Retirement Explorers is a free, drop-in program for retirees who love to learn, explore new ideas, deepen their knowledge, engage in meaningful discussions, and connect with friends.
In partnership with the Thunder Bay Public Library, sessions run every Friday from October to December and January to April at the Mary J.L. Black Community Hub (901 Edward Street).
No registration is required—just drop in and join the fun!

February 6 Creating Community Television with Rogers TV A behind-the-scenes look at local programming and how to get involved. February 13 Hearing Health with Superior Hearing Learn about hearing health, testing, and available supports. February 20 Biking & Boondocking with Lila Cano & Michael Dorval Travel stories and adventures from biking and boondocking experiences. February 27 Behind-the-Scenes Tour: Magnus Theatre Explore backstage and learn how productions come to life. Location: Magnus Theatre March 6 VON – SMART Exercise & Fall Prevention Learn about safe and effective exercises that support strength and mobility. March 13 St. Patrick’s Day Craft Celebration with CAHEP Enjoy festive, hands-on crafts. March 20 Behind-the-Scenes Tour: Centennial Conservatory Discover the plants, history, and care of this local gem.
