Three Crime Prevention Council working groups meet regularly to turn the Safer Thunder Bay - Community Safety & Well-Being Strategy into action which is available upon request.

Public Education

This working group is all about public education. It promotes education to support the Strategy, helps change attitudes, increases awareness, informs the public, and shares knowledge about crime prevention, community safety and well-being.

Strong Neighbourhoods

This working group builds on the strengths of residents and neighbourhoods, and develops and supports neighbourhood initiatives and events that engage residents in making neighbourhoods safer for everyone.

This working group focuses on building awareness about respect., a joint initiative of the Crime Prevention Council and the Anti-Racism & Respect Advisory Committee. Goals include encouraging people to treat each other with respect and building a respectful community.
