MECG Monitoring COVID-19 as Some Re-opening Expected

The Municipal Emergency Control Group (MECG) met today with various community partners as part of its ongoing management of the COVID-19 situation. Section of Montreal Street to Close for Rail Crossing Rehabilitation

Montreal Street, from Mountdale Avenue to Neebing Avenue, will be closed to all through traffic on Thursday, May 14, from 8 am – 4 pm to allow for rehabilitation work on the CP rail crossing. Local traffic will be permitted to allow for access to businesses.
The construction schedule is subject to change, as various factors – such as weather – can have an impact on project timelines.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible, and those travelling in the area are asked to use extra caution...
Reduced Load Restrictions Will Be Lifted Wednesday

The Reduced Load Restrictions that were implemented on March 16 within the city will be lifted on Wednesday, May 13 at 8 am.
Restrictions are put in place annually to protect City roads from damage during the spring thaw. Cooperation from residents helps prevent excessive damage to the streets.
