Bringing the Holiday Season to Neighbourhoods

December 15, 2017 - To make the holiday brighter, Santa Claus is bringing greetings, gifts and a holiday feast to some Thunder Bay neighbourhoods. On Saturday, Dec. 16, Santa will be visiting the Bloucher/Piction/Windsor and Limbrick neighbourhoods. 

Santa will certainly be the focus of attention for the kids, but this is also an opportunity for families to come together to enjoy a festive holiday feast.

Police Board Welcomes New Member

December 15, 2017 - The Thunder Bay Police Services Board Chair Jackie Dojack looks forward to welcoming Celina Reitberger to the Board, following her recent appointment as a representative of the Province of Ontario on the Board. Municipal Division Employees Give over $150,000 to United Way

December 13, 2017 - Employees of the City of Thunder Bay, Superior North EMS, and Thunder Bay Public Library proudly pledged $153,362.45 to the United Way today following the close of the Municipal Division's 22nd Annual United Way Employee Campaign.

New Process Will Fast Track Emergency Heart Patients in Hospital

December 13, 2017 - The Superior North Emergency Medical Services and the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) have joined forces to implement a process which will see paramedics transmit positive ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) 12-leads to an interventional cardiologist at the TBRHSC which will see the patient by-pass the Emergency Room and go directly to the Cardiac Catheter lab for treatment.

St. Patrick's High School Presents City with Crossing Guard Huts

December 12, 2017 - St. Patrick's High School's woodworking class built crossing guard huts and presented them to the City of Thunder Bay today. 

The City approached St. Patrick's High School and Hammarskjold High School with the idea of their students using the skills taught in woodworking classes to build new crossing guard huts for the community.
