Provincial Funding Announced for New Active Transportation Trail

April 22, 2016 - The Province of Ontario is providing funding to the City of Thunder Bay to build a new 850 metre trail from Golf Links Road connecting to Confederation College through the Ontario Municipal Cycling Infrastructure Program (OMCIP).

Section of Water Street to Close to Accommodate Roof Repairs

April 22, 2016 -A section of Water Street between Red River Road and Park Avenue will be temporarily closed starting on Monday, April 25 to accommodate roof repairs at 189 Red River Road.

The southbound curb lane and sidewalk will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic for the next four months. Work is expected to be complete in early August.

April 19, 2016 - The City of Thunder Bay is inviting artists, artisans and community groups to participate in summer events.  

Community group booth opportunities include all city produced events. All events are free to the public and collectively draw thousands of attendees:
