Section of John Street To Be Closed Next Week

September 21, 2016 - A section of John Street, from Valley to Mercier Street, will be closed for watermain work from Monday, Sept. 26 to Friday, Sept. 30.

This portion of John Street will be limited to local traffic only as the work proceeds. Detours will be posted for the duration of the work.

Drivers travelling in the area are asked to use extra caution and obey all posted signage.

Storm Sewer Work to Begin at Balmoral and Central Avenue

September 21, 2016 - Storm sewer reconstruction at the corner of Balmoral Avenue and Central Avenue will begin on Monday, Sept. 26 and is expected to take approximately five days to complete.

The west portion of the intersection will be closed to traffic, and a detour will be posted directing motorists along Amber Drive.

Conquering Fears to Help Kids in Annual Fundraiser

September 13, 2016 - Conquer the Tower is the new name of the local fundraising event that will see business and community representatives taking a plunge from the towers at the Canada Games Complex on Thursday, Nov. 10. 

Proceeds will support P.R.O. Kids and the Thunder Bay Diving Club.

Businesses can nominate a volunteer who will agree to jump from one of the platforms, based on funds raised by co-workers:
