Section of Rosslyn Road to be Closed Over the Weekend

June 25, 2015 – Rosslyn Road from Neebing Avenue to 20th Sideroad will close the weekend of June 27 and 28 to allow crews to repair a water main.

The closure is scheduled to come into effect at 8 am Saturday, June 27, and is expected to last until 8 pm on Sunday, June 28.

Local traffic will have limited access to the closed section, up to the excavation site at 1250 Rosslyn Road, where the road will be closed to all through traffic.

June 24, 2015 - The City of Thunder Bay celebrates the grand re-opening of the Transit Maintenance Facility located at 570 Fort William Road. Centennial Park Parking Lot Closed on June 23

June 19, 2015 - The Centennial Park parking lot will be closed to the public on Tuesday, June 23.

The closure is expected to be in effect from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Workers will be on-site insulating the water service that runs to the park's maintenance shop; the water line runs directly under the entrance to the parking lot.

Residents are asked not to visit Centennial Park until the work is complete.

Floodway Walking Trail Closing due to Dredging

June 19, 2015 - The walking trail on the north side of the Neebing-McIntyre Floodway from Island Drive east to the lakeshore will close to the public as of Wednesday, June 25 while the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority (LRCA) dredges the floodway.

The LRCA, which is responsible for dredging the floodway and owns the property on either bank, has indicated the fill will need to be stored on the trail until it's hauled away in the fall.
