Superior North EMS Commended for Recertification Inspection

August 5, 2016 - The City of Thunder Bay has received a commendation letter from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for standards met, and exceeded by Superior North Emergency Medical Services (SNEMS) during a recent recertification inspection.

2016 Road Work Projects Well Underway

August 4, 2016 - A busy road work season is taking place in Thunder Bay. Projects to be undertaken in 2016 include road and sidewalk rehabilitation, residential paving, sewer and watermain repair/replacement, bridge and culvert work and streetlight renewal.
The City of Thunder Bay is investing $19.1 million in 2016 on these improvements and related infrastructure.

August 4, 2016 - The City of Thunder Bay is proud to welcome the 'Duluth Youth Art Exhibition' to theBaggage Building Art Centre at Prince Arthur's Landing Aug. 5-31.

First Installment of 2016 Final Tax Bill Due

July 29, 2016 - The first installment of the 2016 final tax bill is due on Wednesday, Aug. 3.
Taxpayers who have not received their bill are advised to contact the Corporate Services & Long Term Care Department, Revenue Division located on the main floor of City Hall, or call 625-2255 to request a copy.

Traffic Signal Work at James Street & Redwood Avenue to Begin

July 29, 2016 - The traffic signals at the intersection of James Street and Redwood Avenue will be rebuilt over the next five weeks, with work commencing on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
The existing traffic signals will be replaced with temporary all-way stop signs during the construction period. Traffic lanes will be reduced to one through lane in each direction until the new signals are operational.
