Make Fire Safety Part Of Your Camp Opening Ritual

May 13, 2016 - Thunder Bay Fire Rescue reminds all campers to protect their families and guests from fire and carbon monoxide this camping season.
"Fire safety is just as important away from your home as it is at your home," said Fire Chief John Hay. "Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are the early warning systems that give you the valuable time needed to escape tragedy."

May 13, 2016 - A precautionary boil water advisory remains in effect for customers in pressure Zone 2N, extending north of Oliver Road and west of Algoma Street, as City crews continue to make progress toward restoring full system pressure. Repairs to the Chamberlain Pumping Station are expected to continue throughout the day.

Chamberlain Pumping Station Issue: Residents Asked to Limit Water Use Across City

May 12, 2016 - Customers in the north end of the City may experience low water pressure, discoloured water, or no water service today due to a failure at the Chamberlain Pumping Station that occurred at approximately 3 am this morning.
Staff have immediately responded to determine the cause and restore service.
All customers city-wide are asked to limit water use wherever possible as service is being restored.
Residents may call Infrastructure and Operations Dispatch for information at 625-2195.

May 12, 2016 - Customers city-wide are asked to continue to restrict all non-essential water use as efforts to restore water service at the Chamberlain Pumping Station are ongoing.
As repairs are completed, residents in Zone 2N, extending north of Oliver Road and west of Algoma Street, may experience low water pressure. During this time, customers may experience discoloured water. Should they observe any discolouration, customers are asked NOT to flush their lines until further notice.
