Residents Invited to Public Works Open House

Residents are invited to a free open house that will highlight the important work that our public works professionals do every day to keep the city running.
The public works open house will take place on Saturday, September 23, from 11 am – 2 pm at the Mountdale Public Works Yard, 410 Mountdale Ave. The open house will feature:

Mayor officially confirms City’s assigned housing target

This morning Mayor Ken Boshcoff sent a letter to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing to officially commit to meeting the provincially assigned housing target of 2,200 homes by 2031.
Starting next week, administration will begin meeting with Mayor Boshcoff to discuss potential impacts to operations and staff, impacts of delegating other powers to administration and/or council where applicable, and how decisions made using Strong Mayor powers will be communicated to the public....

Ontario Culture Days Launches Friday, Sept. 22

On Friday, Sept. 22, the City will be kicking off Ontario Culture Days with Arts & Culture Under the Lights from 6 - 10 pm at Prince Arthur’s Landing in Marina Park. Memorial Avenue between Central Avenue and Harbour Expressway being resurfaced

On Tuesday, September 19, asphalt resurfacing work will begin on the section of Memorial Avenue between Central Avenue and the Harbour Expressway.
The resurfacing work involves milling and paving two lifts of asphalt and will be completed in four phases:
- Phase 1 – The southbound curb lane will be closed. As such, access to Memorial Avenue from the west side approaches of Central Ave, 10th Ave, 11th Ave, 12th Ave, and 13th Ave will not be available. Phase 1 is estimated to take one day to complete.
