Road Work Ahead: City shares details of August construction

A number of construction projects are expected to impact vehicular, cycling, and pedestrian travel in Thunder Bay throughout the month of August.

The City is investing $42 million in 2024 to fund crucial infrastructure work including road rehabilitation, sidewalk replacement, sewer and watermain repairs and replacements, and bridge and culvert renewal.

Overnight closures scheduled for Memorial Avenue & Harbour Expressway intersection

The Memorial Avenue and Harbour Expressway intersection is scheduled for two periods of overnight closures as the installation of new traffic signals and repaving is completed.

The intersection will be fully closed to traffic overnights from 7 pm to 7 am starting the evening of Wednesday, July 24 and concluding the morning of Saturday, July 27.
