Live on the Waterfront line-up and 2024 Summer Events Guide

The City of Thunder Bay is excited to announce the line-up of Thunder Bay’s premier concert series, Live on the Waterfront. Use of recycling carts begins as of July 1

As of July 1, Thunder Bay residents will begin using recycling carts to place recycling at the curb. Blue bags will no longer be accepted.
Cart delivery to residential household addresses by GFL Environmental Inc. was completed on schedule in May and early June. GFL is responsible for setting up and operating the new recycling cart system.

The City of Thunder Bay invites community members and visitors to Marina Park on Monday, July 1, 2024, for Canada Day on the Waterfront. Everyone is welcome to attend a Sunrise Ceremony at 6 am, and the main events from 1 pm to 6 pm. Canada Day on the Waterfront is presented by Ontario Power Generation – Power for Change Project.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue welcomed eight new firefighters into its ranks at a graduation ceremony over the weekend.
