Trunk Water Main Repair May Cause Discoloured Water

Emergency repairs to fix a leak on a north-side trunk water main may cause discoloured water for some residents.

The repair work is currently underway and anticipated to be completed by the end of the week. Residents should not expect any disruptions to their water supply but should be aware that the work may cause discoloured water at times. In addition, water pressure, taste or clarity could be affected for short periods.

The City of Thunder Bay is excited to announce this year’s extended SnowDay on the Waterfront event, presented by Ontario Power Generation, on the Family Day weekend – Sunday, Feb. 18 and Monday, Feb. 19 at Marina Park.

Outdoor skating rinks temporarily closed - Feb 2024

As a result of the recent warm weather, ice conditions at the City’s outdoor rinks have significantly deteriorated and as such all outdoor rinks (with the exception of the rink at Prince Arthur’s Landing) have been temporarily closed.

Lights will be turned off, change rooms will be closed and residents are asked to stay off the ice surfaces.
