Treasure Exchange Days Return this Weekend

June 7, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay's popular Treasure Exchange Days return on June 10 and 11, giving residents a chance to discover one-of-a-kind treasures while reducing waste.
Anyone with gently-used items that they wish to give away can leave them out on the curb any time after 5 pm, on Friday, June 9. Clearly label the items "free". Over the weekend, residents are encouraged to tour their neighbourhoods to see what treasures they can find.

Section of Oliver Road to Close for Sewer and Water Work

June 6, 2017 - A section of Oliver Road between Frankwood Avenue and Balmoral Street will be closed on Wednesday, June 7, for new water service installation.
The closure will be in effect from 8 am to approximately 6 pm, or until work is complete.
While the road will be closed to through traffic, local traffic will be permitted.
Two detour routes will be established at Langworthy Crescent and at Frankwood Avenue to Hollylane Street through to Balmoral Street.

Marina Park Boater's Launch and Parking Lot Closed June 5

June 2, 2017 - The Marina Park Boater's launch and parking lot will be closed to the public on Monday, June 5. The closure is expected to be in effect from 7 am until 4 pm. Workers will be onsite installing top-coat asphalt on Marina Park Drive.

June 1, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay is launching the development a new Active Transportation Plan on June 3, at the Bike Summit. This Plan is a major component of the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) which commenced in Fall 2016, and is being led by the City's Engineering & Operations Division and the TMP consultant, IBI Group.
