Dates Revised for Spring Leaf & Yard Waste Curbside Collection

April 12, 2016 - Leaf & Yard Waste Curbside Collection dates for spring 2016 have been pushed forward several weeks due to continuing cold weather and recent snowfalls.
Leaf and yard waste collection, previously scheduled for early May, will now take place between May 17 and May 27, on the regular recycling day indicated in residents' 2016 Garbage & Recycling Collection Schedules.
Homeowners are reminded that residential leaf and yard waste must be stored in Kraft paper bags only for curbside...

April 12, 2016 - The City of Thunder Bay, along with Roots to Harvest, unveiled a new program and site plan on Monday evening to transform the former soccer fields adjacent to Volunteer Pool into a productive urban agriculture site, where young adults will gain leadership and employment skills through gardening, bee keeping, and raising rabbits.

Sections of Cumberland Street to Close for Improvements

April 8, 2016 - Sections of Cumberland Street will close to northbound traffic starting on Tuesday, April 12 to allow for various improvements including asphalt reconstruction, watermain replacement, boulevard landscaping, and installation of a new storm sewer and street lighting.
