  • Regency Towers Fire Sends Three to Hospital

    January 31, 2018 - A fire investigation is underway to determine the origin and cause of a fire at 9 Regency Street, Regency Towers, which sent three people to hospital.  The investigation is being conducted by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue investigators along with an investigator from the Office of the Fire Marshal.

    The study is being conducted in cooperation with the consulting firm AECOM, , and will review and recommend a sustainable and fair funding source to support the City's current stormwater management program and help achieve the future goals of the Stormwater Management Plan.

  • Nominations Open for 2018 Citizens of Exceptional Achievement

    January 9, 2018 - Mayor Keith Hobbs, members of the Official Recognition Committee and past award recipients officially opened nominations for the 2018 Citizens of Exceptional Achievement Awards today at City Hall.

  • City Presents Birds of the Bay Community Art Project With Betty Carpick

    January 4, 2018 - After the success of the community art project Threading Water, which was completed for Great Art for Great Lakes in 2017, the city is partnering again with local artist Betty Carpick for Birds of the Bay, a project to help families understand and protect nature through community-engaged art.

  • Outdoor Skating Rinks Now Open

    December 22, 2017 - The City's outdoor skating rinks are now open with the exception of the rink at Castlegreen Community Centre and the rink at John Kusznier Park. Both rinks are expected to be ready next couple days.
