Churchill pool, summer ice, community centres to re-open in Phase 3
City Council approved the implementation of a number of reopening plans last night as part of Phase 3 summer operations.
Re-openings will take anywhere from 2-6 weeks so that staff can get the required resources and changes in place to safely welcome the public back into facilities.
Thunder Bay CEDC provides $40,000 in funding to support the recovery of the local culinary and tourism sectorThe Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce $40,000 in funding to help support the Waterfront BIA’s StrEATery project. The CEDC’s Board of Directors approved the funding through an Economic Development Reserve Fund (EDRF) grant which aims to support local projects and initiatives that create jobs and stimulate business.

Section of 25th Side Road to be Closed on July 18On Saturday, July 18, 25th Side Road will be closed to northbound traffic at Rosslyn Road between the planned hours of 8am and 5pm for water infrastructure maintenance.
COVID-19: Paid Parking Returns and Changes to Transit and Long-Term CareEffective Monday, July 20, paid parking at metered spaces will return and Transit will once again begin front boarding and require fares. Pioneer Ridge Long-Term Care Home and Jasper Supportive Housing have also begun a staged approach to reopening to visitors following yesterday’s provincial announcement.
Section of James Street Closed for PavingSection of Mountain Road Will Be Closed July 16A section of Mountain Road between Chippewa Road and 15th Side Road will be closed on July 16 from 8am to 6pm for the installation of new underground infrastructure.
Local access to the northern portion of this closure will be available from Chippewa Road as far as 725 Mountain Road, but no through traffic.
